Max is an 14 year old racing driver based in Warwickshire. Having won national titles in karting, this year Max is racing in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship on circuits over the UK, including Silverstone.
My Career
Bambinos
After being brought up on the side of a race track, it was inevitable that Max would end up wanting to race himself. At the age of 5 he was given his first kart and soon started racing. It wasn’t long until he managed to reach the podium and that is where he has been fighting to stay ever since.
DRS
This season and while still 7, Max moved up in to the cadet class, racing children up to the age of 13 and up to speeds of 60mph. Although this was a big step, Max relished the challenge and came away from the first round of the championship leading the rookie championship and finishing P7 overall. This was a huge achievement in what is a national series, back by F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo
MiniRok
2020 and 2021 seasons Max competed in two hotly contested classes in two different championships. He started the 2021 MinkRok championship is style by winning the first round in Wales. He fought at the front all year and finished the championship in P3
Iame Cadet
The 2021 season Max took on the challenge of racing in the BKC Iame Cadet Championship, alongside the MiniRok Championship. Like Minirok the season started well and he lead the championship all year bringing him his first national title of his career.

Mini Max
This year Max stepped up to the MiniMax class, racing in full size adult karts for the first time. The start of the season wasn’t great with some poor choices made of where to go. By round two we had changed teams and chassis and Max was on fire. The best result of the season came at Clay Pigeon in Dorset where Max showed his class racing in the wet, winning the final by over 8 seconds. That performance then didn’t dip throughout the year and he finished the season as champion, his second national championship in as many years and the first driver to ever win back to back BKC Championships.
About Max

Max is the third generation of racers in his family. His father also started racing in karts, before moving on to single seaters and GT cars. He retired from racing in 2016 to help Max concentrate on his karting. Max’s grandfather raced karts in the 70’s against Nigel Mansell and went on to become Hotrod Champion in 1979 in a Mini Cooper S.
Max loves competing and it’s not just on four wheels. He also plays cricket & golf. With Golf being one of the most frustrating sports in the world, it has really helped his mental game while on track. Being able to keep your head and focus when things are going wrong is something that is so important in both sports and life in general.
In February this year Max was given the chance to test a GB4 Single Seater for Arden Motorsport and Idola Motorsport. Arden is owned by Christian Horner’s (RedBull F1 Boss) family and despite being just 13 at the time, Max surprised everyone in the wet, setting competitive times straight away and proved to be the fastest driver in the torrid conditions. The head driver coach at Arden, Steve Hutchinson, said of Max first time in the GB4 “That is was the best first session, they had ever seen, from any driver”. When you look to see those drivers Steve was talking about include names such as, Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz Jnr, Sergio Perez and Pierre Gasly, it brought home just was a natural talent Max has. This was followed up by the team boss Gary Horner saying to Max that is was a “very, very impressive performance”.
